Brief Introduction:
Sodium thioglycolate is an organic sodium salt, a white powder with a slight odor, mainly used as a perm lotion and depilatory agent. As a reducing agent, it is used in mineral flotation to increase the hydrophilicity of the chalcopyrite surface, thereby achieving effective separation from molybdenite. Studies have shown that it can achieve a flotation separation efficiency of 83.79% for molybdenite. In addition, the application of sodium thioglycolate in the cosmetics industry has also attracted attention, especially in brow lamination technology, although the chemical has potential skin allergic reactions and other health risks, such as systemic manifestations caused by skin absorption, affecting the reproductive, ocular, respiratory and endocrine systems. In order to reduce toxicity to the human body, the study also explored the encapsulation of sodium thioglycolate in intelligent temperature-sensitive materials and developed a new type of low-temperature sensitive perm agent, which not only maintains the traditional perm effect, but also significantly reduces the transdermal diffusion of sodium thioglycolate, reducing potential adverse reactions and toxicity concerns.
